Ifugao city reconstitutes waste board
In Hungduan, Ifugao, the growing quantity of rubbish which poses risk to the overall welfare of the human beings and the environment has precipitated the Local Chief Executive of this city to reorganize the Municipal Solid Waste Management Board (MSWMB).
Mayor Hilario Bumangabang of Hungduan issued Executive Order No. 15 series of 2017 reorganizing the MSWMB and expanding its club to encompass the academe for powerful and efficient control of garbage within the municipality for an ecologically-balanced surroundings.
The MSWMB is chaired via the municipal mayor with vice mayor as the co-chairperson. Members are all punong barangays; Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chairperson on Health; and heads of municipal and countrywide workplaces, principals of standard and high colleges, and non-authorities corporations.
The board is tasked to increase the Municipal Solid Waste Management Board Plan that shall make sure the long-term control of solid waste, as well as integrate the various solid waste management plans and strategies of the barangays (villages) in its location of jurisdiction. It will adopt measures to promote and make sure the viability and effective implementation of strong waste control applications in its aspect barangays and a systematic revenue-producing measure to sell the viability of its Solid Waste Management Plan.
